Details of Fictitious Bubble Chamber Image 4

I was told that everything in the universe can be mathematically modeled by a wave. The deeper I’ve fallen into analytical and quantum mechanics, the more I’ve noted this to be true. But beyond that, I was understanding that waves were continually the most elegant form to represent invisible phenomena. I started recreating, in charcoal, the trails that electrically charged particles leave within superheated fluids as captured in Bubble Chamber images. These works were made by erasure into a charcoal ground to mimic the evaporative process that makes these trails. The Bubble Chamber and its ability to photograph particle paths was striking in the mid 20th century, and even though the practice isn't used anymore for scientific discovery, the images from these experiments continue to be used as shorthand for beauty even for something that's otherwise invisible, like particle movement.
